Rain smiled, "Well lets hope it goes well." she wagged her tail. If he dares hurt her I will make sure I'm the first to tear him apart. She nodded to herself and continued limping away.

Eli whipped his head around when Ari called his name. "Hey Eli, can I have a word with you? Away from here? Please?" He shrugged and stood up. He couldn't be sure why she sounded so desperate. It could be a surprise attack. The little voice in his head sang. He silenced it. If i were Rain, then that would be probable. Ari on the other hand... well... he could trust her. He trotted off in Ari's direction.

Ari waited until he was close then turned of towards the forest. After she had gone awhile she felt her nerve start to break down. Before it broke down completely, she choked out the few words. "Rain told me to tell you that I like you." She shut her mouth and hung her head, ashamed. Liking the alpha was wrong.

Eli lifted his head and looked down at Ari Nonchalantly. "Let me ask you. Was it my charm that won you over? My good looks? My endless talent?" His eyes met hers and he wiped the smirk off his face, realizing she was serious. "Wow." He muttered. He never believed that anyone could actually love him. He was way too good at making enemies. He scowled, deep in thought.

Rain had been limping around quietly when she saw Eli and Ari. she froze and became very quiet her ears angled towards them. She sat down, if he dared....

Shadow could hear from her secluded and hidden spot. The dumb butt, he's so arrogant. I believe I may have made a mistake. She stepped out of her secret place. "Well, someone has a high ego today it seems." She said referring to Eli. How could he be so discriminatory and rude?

Rain perked when Shadow appeard. She shrunk a bit into the bushes not wanting to be seen. She watched.

Rain felt strange, she backed up slowly. She backed up into a thorn bush and muffled a yelp. Turning quickly the fae limped over the hill.

Shadow waited for a response from Eli, the arrogance was not in the alpha ways, if he continued, he might be demoted.

Rain limped to a small ravine. she looked at it and smiled. She half slipped half limped down the ravine. She stumbled at the last step. She lied down in the shade and looked at her paw. "Dumb thorn." She bared her teeth and attempted to pull it out.

Aris ears drooped. "I understand. I just thought I would tell you my feelings, even though you dont feel the same way." She turned and trotted of, her heart feeling like it had split in two. Once she caught up to Rain she nearly burst into tears.

Rain had been working on taking out the thorn in the ravine when Ari came up. She looked at her sympathetically but then her eyes hardened. "Did that malicious brute hurt you? Because if he did I'll..." Rain stood on al four paws the thorn digging in deeper. She tripped and and growled. She lied down by Ari, "You ok?"

Eli turned to Shadow. Eveything happened so fast after that. Ari bolted away from him and Shadow shot him an accusatory glance. His heart was skipping and his stomach turned. He was about to accuse Shadow of eaves dropping, which she was, but he figured now wasn't a good time. He had to find Ari. He hurried off in the direction Ari had gone. "Ari?!" He called, trying to follow her scent. Finally he had the fae in sight. "Ari." He breathed, rushing toward her. "I... I'm sorry." He wasn't quite sure what to say but he had to say something. "I just... I thought... No one's ever... told me that before." He stuttered. What is love? Is it what's making my heart lurch? My stomach turn? My knees buckle? The words were out in a rush, but now he knew that they were true. "Ari, I love you."

Rain was by Ari when she heard Eli. She was about to get up and growl at him when he spoke, "Ari, I love you." The fae's eyes widened, and she settled back down again. For the first time the brute seemed to say the truth. She remained quiet and waited for Ari.

Shadow headed back to her safe haven. Hoping to keep the area a secret from them all.

"Rain, he-" she stopped abruptly as he came into sight. "E-" she started to say, but was cut of. Ari, I love you. her mouth hung open. She shut it quickly, and blinked at him incredulously. Then she slowly touched her nose to his and lowered her eyes. "Really? For real?" she whispered. No one had ever loved her back before...

Eli let his gaze flick to Rain who was watching them intently like they were some romance movie built soley for her entertainment. He was about to tell her off when Ari touched her nose to his and he felt the sensation of falling. Or floating? He was flying. "Really? For real?" Ari asked quietly. "More than anything." He whispered into her ear.

Ari laughed, her tinkling voice filling the quiet silence. "I love you very much Eli." She grew somber again though. "But you cannot love me. It is forbidden. Where you not taught that you may not love an alpha?" She looked at him, her heart wrenching one she figured it out.

"Shadow can." She said softly. "Besides, you will be kicked out of alpha position if you dont listen to her." She reached up and touched him softly on his head, her own head swimming. "But I will do everything i can."

"Shadow could be the leader of the world!" Eli barked insistantly. "But she can't control my love life." He scoffed. "The heart wants what the heart wants."

"Wise words Mr. Eli," she said with a smile. She laughed, feeling the happiest she had felt in months. "Shall e go back to the den?"

Eli gave Ari a lop-sided smile. "Sure." He barked, taking off at a steady trot toward where they had come.

Shadow padded over to Ari and Eli. "Sorry for eavesdropping, although you did come near me when you were talking." She said disappearing behind her bush to her little safe haven. She finished the carving.
